Join me at Campbells Lane Farm in Preston for an introductory class into kitchen herbalism on Saturday August 23rd at 12pm
In this Introductory class we will discuss common kitchen herbs but how they go beyond our use in cooking. You will learn how these herbs can support our body, mind, and spirit.
During class we will be making an infused honey using organic powdered herbs and local raw honey. You can use this honey to spread on toast, pancakes and make a warm cup of milk to stir the honey into, creating a nourishing and delicious warm cuppa.
We will also be making an infused vinegar and learning why vinegar is so amazing for extracting vitamins and minerals out of herbs. The herbs we will be using for the vinegar are all grown in my garden. Both the vinegar and honey you will be able to take home with you. You will receive a print out full of information we discussed in class as well as tons of easy to follow recipes for you to experiment with at home.
As we gather together we will sip on herbal teas that I hand blended. Teas as well as other herbal products from my shop will be available for purchase.
After this class, you will walk away with a deeper understanding of how you can weave herbs into your everyday life. As well as ideas and inspiration in how you can begin your journey into kitchen herbalism. Join us as we gather and learn about the ancient healing properties of common garden herbs.
